Una Quinceañera es la costumbre de celebrar el paso de la niñez a la adolescencia con un ritual que expresa agradecimiento a Dios por el Don de la vida y que pide una bendición de Dios para los años venideros. En St. Maria del Valle compartimos la visión establecida por la Arquidiócesis de Seattle de que la Iglesia puede ofrecer a la quinceañera la oportunidad de reflexionar sobre su papel como mujer cristiana católica en una sociedad que a menudo distorsiona el papel de la mujer. Queremos animar a nuestras jóvenes mujeres a que acepten su compromiso con Dios y la Iglesia y desarrollen sus dones intelectuales y sociales a través de la familia, la parroquia, la escuela y la comunidad. Esto es lo que tenemos al frente de nuestra preparación para esta bendición especial.
Ceremonia de Quinceañera Ofrecemos ceremonias de quinceañera en las que los padres presentan a sus hijas al Señor y a la comunidad en agradecimiento a Dios por la bendición de la vida de su hija y para buscar la bendición y la guía de Dios al entrar en la edad adulta. Hay 10 elementos a continuación que describen esta ceremonia. 1 procesión de entrada 2. Liturgia de la Palabra (lecturas bíblicas) 3. Homilía 4. Intercesiones generales 5. El Padre Nuestro 6. Oración de Quinceañera 7. Bendición de la Quinceañera 8. Bendición de flores y otros símbolos 9. Flores a Nuestra Señora 10. Despido La bendición incluye una oportunidad para que la quinceañera se comprometa con Dios y la Santísima Virgen a vivir el resto de su vida de acuerdo con las enseñanzas de Cristo y la Iglesia al renovar sus promesas bautismales. Fechas de Quinceañera En nuestro esfuerzo por dar un ejemplo de que la bendición de la Quinceañera es una celebración de toda la comunidad, ofrecemos una misa por mes para las quinceañeras a las 11 am en las siguientes fechas en 2026:
Requisitos 1. La quinceañera debe ser bautizada y haber hecho su 1ra Comunión y confirmación antes de registrarse y programar una fecha. Se solicita copia del certificado de Bautizo, Primera Comunión y Confirmación. (No se serán aceptadas sin los Sacramentos) 2. Se debe programar una fecha con 6 meses de anticipación. 3. Se anima a las familias a registrarse y asumir un papel activo en la vida y el ministerio parroquial. 4. Los vestidos deben ser modestos; no vestidos blancos o beige. Tarifas: $500 Por Quinceañera Un feligrés activo es un miembro registrado de la parroquia dando su corresponsabilidad de tiempo, talento y tesoro. A Quinceañera is the custom of celebrating the passage from childhood to adolescence with a ritual that expresses gratitude to God for the Gift of life and asks for a blessing from God for years to come. At St. Mary of the Valley we share the vision established by the Archdiocese of Seattle that the Church can offer the quinceañera the opportunity to reflect on her role as a Catholic Christian woman in a society that often distorts the role of women. We want to encourage our young women to accept their commitment to God and the Church and to develop their intellectual and social gifts through family, parish, school, and community. This is what we have at the forefront of our preparation for this special blessing.
Quinceanera Ceremony We offer quinceañera ceremonies in which parents present their daughters to the Lord and the community in gratitude to God for the blessing of their daughter's life and to seek God's blessing and guidance as they enter adulthood. There are 10 elements below that describe this ceremony. 1.Entrance procession 2. Liturgy of the Word (biblical readings) 3. Homily 4. General intercessions 5. The Lord's Prayer 6. Quinceañera Prayer 7. Blessing of the Quinceañera 8. Blessing of flowers and other symbols 9. Flowers to Our Lady 10. Dismissal The blessing includes an opportunity for the quinceañera to commit to God and the Blessed Virgin to live the rest of her life according to the teachings of Christ and the Church by renewing her baptismal promises. Quinceanera Dates In our effort to set an example that the Quinceañera blessing is a community-wide celebration, we offer one Mass per month for Quinceaneras at 11 a.m. on the following dates in 2026:
Requirements 1. The quinceañera must be baptized and have made her 1st Communion and confirmation before registering and scheduling a date. A copy of the Baptism, First Communion and Confirmation certificate is requested. (They will not be accepted without the Sacraments) 2. A date must be scheduled 6 months in advance. 3. Families are encouraged to register and take an active role in parish life and ministry. 4. Dresses should be modest, not white or beige dresses. Rates: $500 per quinceañera An active parishioner is a registered member of the parish giving his or her co-responsibility of time, talent, and treasure.
