Planning for the future
Partners in the Gospel is a strategic pastoral planning effort taking place across the Archdiocese of Seattle to re-invigorate and renew our local Catholic Church. Final parish families were announced in February 2024, and Archbishop Etienne and the Priest Personnel Board released the Official Appointments, including pastors, parochial vicars and other assignments, in April 2024. Parish families and official appointments went into effect on July 1, 2024.

I would simply say that with all of the changes that we're facing today, globally, culturally and within the church, it's very clear the status quo is no longer an option. It's very easy for us to just continue to keep doing the same thing and hoping that things will improve. That's not a strategy to make a difference.” ~ Archbishop Etienne

Gracious God, we praise and thank you
for the Catholic Church in Western Washington. We praise and thank you for the women and men who have shared the joy of the Gospel here for more than 170 years. Send your Holy Spirit upon us that we might encounter your Son anew and become more effective partners in sharing the Good News of his saving love. May our partnership in the Gospel empower us to be your missionary disciples, bringing the Good News to all, especially to those who are marginalized or hurting in any way. Give us the courage, the flexibility and the vision to renew parish life, so that the good work, begun long ago, may continue among us, and one day, be brought to completion in your Kingdom, where you live and reign for ever and ever. Amen. |

Dios misericordioso, te alabamos y te agradecemos por la Iglesia en el oeste de Washington. Te alabamos y te agradecemos por las mujeres y hombres que han compartido aquí la alegría del Evangelio por más de 170 años. Envía tu Espíritu Santo sobre nosotros para que encontremos a Tu Hijo nuevamente, podamos convertirnos en colaboradores efectivos y compartir la Buena Nueva de Su amor salvador. Que nuestra colaboración en el Evangelio nos fortalezca para ser tus discípulos misioneros, y llevar la Buena Nueva a todos, especialmente a los marginados y los que sufren. Danos el coraje, la flexibilidad y la visión para renovar la vida de la parroquia, para que podamos continuar con las buenas obras que se iniciaron hace tiempo, y podamos completarlas en tu Reino donde vives y reinas por los siglos de los siglos.
