Fr. Michael O'Brien
Father Michael C. OBrien, Pastor of St. Mary of the Valley since 1 July 1999.
Father was born in Enumclaw, Washington, raised in Enumclaw and Tacoma, Graduated from Bellarmine High School, Tacoma, Washington in 1957, Studied at St. Edward and St. Thomas Seminaries in Kenmore, Washington and was ordained to the priesthood by Archbishop Thomas A. Connolly at St. James Cathedral, Seattle, Washington, in 1965.
He served briefly at St. Peter’s in Suquamish, then for five years at Our Lady of Lourdes in Vancouver, Washington, three years at St. Ann’s in Tacoma, one year at St. James Cathedral in Seattle, five years at St. Michael’s in Snohomish, and twenty years at St. John’s in Vancouver, Washington before coming to St. Mary’s in Monroe.
Father OBrien is currently on administrative leave.
